Our management consultant Christin Carlsson joined us at the beginning of the year and has already brought many new insights around competitive intelligence. She fits well within the team with a background in science and bioentrepreneurship combined with international experience. Her upbringing in a small village up North Sweden also adds a different skillset, albeit more relevant beyond work activities… Even better, we also gained a steady supply of cuteness with Christine’s puppy Max often popping by the screen saying hi during our Zoom sessions.

My name is Christin Carlsson and I have recently had the honor to join MSC Nordics as a Management Consultant. For the past few years, I have been working at Life Science consultancies in London supporting global clients with competitive intelligence, market access and pricing strategy. I’m now happy to be back in Sweden and have the opportunity to support more Nordic clients grow their businesses.

I have always had an interest in science and started to study the bachelor’s program in Nutrition at the University of Stockholm. The program not only gave me a good understanding of the importance of nutrition on health but also comprehensive knowledge within fields as chemistry, microbiology and physiology. After spending a fair amount of time in the lab, I wanted to broaden my knowledge within business development in the Life Science industry, so I obtained a master’s degree in Bioentrepreneurship from the Karolinska Institute (KI) in Stockholm. The program challenged my entrepreneurial mindset and included courses as business development, finance, marketing and product development. I thought my combined educational background would give me a good starting point in a career within management consultancy supporting global Life Science clients, so I decided to move to London the day after I graduated from KI.

”I have the opportunity to continue to develop my expertise within the Life Science industry while working with motivated, knowledgeable and smart individual team members.”

I really enjoy working as a management consultant as it gives me the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients; and constantly learn new therapeutic areas and take part of cutting-edge science that has the potential to increase a lot of people’s quality of life.

After returning from London, I was really happy to find MSC Nordics as they are quite unique on the Swedish market with their service offerings and experienced personnel within the Life Science industry. I really enjoy working here as I feel I will have the opportunity to continue to develop my expertise within the Life Science industry while working with motivated, knowledgeable and smart individual team members.

Sincerely,

Christin Carlsson
