Privacy Policy MSC Nordics

This is the privacy policy for MSC Nordics, corp. id. no 556969-7138 (hereinafter collectively referred to as “MSC” or “We”). In connection with and/or by using our website, communicating with us, being a customer to us or a subscriber to our newsletter, you have also agreed to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy. We follow all applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR“).

What Kind of Information Do We Collect?

Personal Data

We collect names, IP addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, and sometimes other contact information to our contact person(s) at our existing and potential customers.

For subscribers to our newsletter, we collect such information about yourself as you submit, some of which may constitute personal data (your name and your e-mail address).

We never collect any special categories of data, i.e., in accordance with the GDPR article 9, “personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, and /…/ data concerning health or a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation”.

Other Data

We may collect job titles and other information that you may submit in communication with us.

How Do We Store the Information We Collect?

We store the data on servers which may reside in the cloud, inside and outside of the EU.

How Long Do We Store the Information We Collect?

We store customer information for the time period during which the customer is an active customer and one (1) year thereafter (or longer, if included in documentation which must be stored longer in accordance with mandatory applicable law).

For our subscribers to our newsletters, we store the information as long as the subscription is active.

How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

We use the information we collect in order to communicate with and fulfill our obligations towards our customers and in order to improve the quality of the services we provide.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you have accepted to receive marketing information from us.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that the information we have collected about you is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. Such measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

Transfer of the Information We Collect

We restrict access to personal information to MSC’s employees, consultants, subcontractors and agents (including third party hosting platforms) who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These companies and individuals, respectively, are bound by confidentiality obligations. Furthermore, in case of a third party we also always enter into a data processing agreement with said subcontractor.

We may also transfer the information we collect if required by mandatory applicable law.

We never sell any personal data that we collect from our customers to a third party.

Transfer Outside the EEA

In case we collect information from EU citizens and transfer such information to the USA, we only use suppliers who are certified under the Privacy Shield (e.g. Box, Google Apps).

Changes and Amendments

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. We therefore recommend that you read this policy frequently. The date for the latest updated version is specified at the top of this document.

Your Rights
You have the right to request information about which personal data about you we have stored, to withdraw your consent to process your personal data to the extent our processing of your personal data is based on consent, and in such case request deletion, and to request correction of your personal data.
